Italy –Scholarships for the academic year 2011/2012

We inform interested applicants that the Italian government, through its Embassy in Podgorica, has announced a call for applications for scholarships awarded for the academic year 2011/2012.
The scholarships are intended for Montenegrin nationals, aged between 18 and 35, who have the valid credentials for enrolment in educational institutions in Italy, recommendations from academic institutions in the country and/or Italy. The age limit does not apply to applicants who are Italian language teachers and actively engaged in teaching Italian. Knowledge of the Italian language will be tested.
The scholarships are to be used during the academic year 2011/2012.
The scholarship amounts to EUR 620 per month, and is paid on a quarterly basis.
Place of study:
Scholarships are awarded for study and specialization at the following state or private but legally accredited institutions:
• State universities, university institutes or poly-technical institutes;
• Institutes for advanced artistic or musical training (art academies, music conservatoriums, state academies of dramatic art);
• Restoration institutes;
• National School of Cinema;
• Research labs or centres, libraries, archives and museums associated with graduate and postgraduate university courses in which the candidate is obliged to enrol.
Knowledge of the Italian language:
Knowledge of the Italian language is indispensable and must be certified in an interview.
Prerequisites:
Prior to enrolment, applicants must:
- activate own account at the website of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs http://borseonline.esteri.it/borseonline/it/index.asp,
- fill out an online application form available until 30 April, 2011 at www.esteri.it > opportunità>Borse di studioper stranieri>Borse di studio a.a. 2011-12
- upload a scanned copy of the first passport page and submit it with the application by April 30th, 2011.
Note: in order to fill out the application form, the applicants must register according to the rules given online.
